There is no correct CBD dosage. The optimal dose for a consumer depends on several factors:

  • Concentration is measured in milligrams (mg). This is different from dosage, which is the amount per serving. For example: A concentration of 1000 mg CBD in a 30 mL oil, means each 1mL serving will contain approximately 33 mg of CBD. Be aware of the concentration of CBD in your product and the dosage you're taking with each serving. Not all CBD products are the same.
  •  Body Weight often plays a role in how much CBD affects the body. The greater your weight the more CBD you may need to obtain the same effect as a smaller person.
  • Desired Effects determine the optimal dose. Whether you are addressing the level of pain, insomnia, anxiety or other conditions, more severe symptoms may need a higher dose to alleviate the condition, whereas a person with a milder condition may prefer a lower dose with less pronounced effects.
  • Tolerance to CBD may develop over time. This can result in reduced effects from the same dosage. Higher subsequent doses may be needed to achieve the desired results. A regular cannabis user or CBD user may need a tolerance break to reset the body's need for CBD.
